Why website accessibility is important to Fairplay Employer

At Fairplay Employer we put equality, diversity and inclusive working practices at the heart of the consultancy and training services that we deliver. Website accessibility is extremely important to us and we want to make sure that everyone can use this website to find the information that they need.

Using Accessibility Guidelines

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are set by the World Wide Web Consortium and this website has been built to meet the WCAG standards.

How accessible this website is

Our website is responsive

It adjusts automatically to the device or size of the screen you are using, so it is as easy to use as possible.

We use plain language

So that the content is clear and easy to understand.

We use image descriptions for all the photographs on the site

So that people using screen readers can access the images

We use icons for external links

When you see an external link like this one, you will know straight away that following it will direct you away from our site.

Colour Palette

We’ve made sure that using easy to read colours and backgrounds is part of our design.

Fonts

We’ve chosen fonts and font spacings that will make the information on the site as easy to read as possible.

Places where we can improve

  •     Most older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
